This story passed me by last week. I bookmarked it to my delicious but haven’t had a chance to look at it until now. Via Rail offers free internet? And they want to sell content to their passengers as they travel? My God, someone at a Crown Corporation has a brain!

This is a brilliant idea! Sign me up for train travel! Cheaper, more spacious, and now free internet, content delivered to you as you pass through the Canadian country-side, sounds like a dream!

Imagine blogging about a trip through the Rockies while travelling through the Rockies. Imagine uploading the photos to your Facebook moments after taking them. Imagine chatting with friends to while away the time during those long trips. Imagine downloading the latest podcast to listen to as you travel.

Brilliant.
