Make no mistake, this will be another Labor Bungle.  Although it won’t cause the loss of life the Insulation Affair did, it’s going to cost us far more money is lost productivity and lost opportunity, even before the program costs, which will be huger than huge.

If you think the Global Economy will not be Internet driven (if it isn’t already) in the future, then you’re living in a dream world.  A country without Internet tomorrow will be as competitive as a country without roads was yesterday.  And here’s Kevin Rudd and the crew erecting 10kph speed limit signs.

And to what end?

This will do nothing to combat Child Pornography.

Not one thing.

It’ll be as effective at fighting child porn as throwing out all your silverware, except it sounds more related.

Communications Minister, Stephen Conroy, has written to critics saying that the so-called “live” trials would be “a closed network test and will not involve actual customers”

Huh?

A “live” trial – on a closed network without actual customers.

So, what’s this supposed to prove?

How dumb is Senator Conroy?  Is he really this dumb?  Or this maniuplative?  A live trial, by definition, is done with actual customers. This trial will prove nothing.  It’s a repeat of the June trials.

It’s now a total complete  waste of time and money.

I think Senator Conroy should use this opportunity to learn how to research before commenting.  Here’s a thought – there’s a wonderful research tool that’s just come out in the last 30 years; it’s called the Internet.

Ah sweet!  I love Search Engine, add it to your podcatcher!  This promises to be an interesting interview.  Jesse is good at these kinds of interviews, and I’m interested in hearing Mr. Malone talk at length about this.  I’ve reread the same three quotes of his as the news story went around the world.
