If you were at Friday’s class, you might recall a large portion of the class (i.e. all of it) was devoted to FTP.  We FTPed using Filezilla, using the built in FTP Client in Frontpage (and I showed you one in Dreamweaver too), and I showed you FTP from the Command prompt.

And then I handed out some activities, and I especially wanted everyone to try uploading to my webserver.  And all promised to practice FTPing, and all practiced to try uploading a page or pages to my webserver so that they may show off their FTP & HTML & CSS skills.

It’s Monday, and no one has uploaded anything.

Come on guys!  Upload something!  This isn’t hard, but you need to practice!

I told you not to come to my website, but all of you don’t listen, do you?  So to help you practice the FTP activity I told you about on Friday, I created an FTP account for you.

Now, the address is *********, the username is *********, and the password is ******.

(These have been edited out; they were only to access one section of the webserver, but I’d rather not leave them on this page.  If you are a legit student and don’t yet know them, drop me a line)

Use a graphical FTP client such as FileZilla, and try uploading and downloading files.  Don’t put anything too big up there, just a small photo or something.  I’ve put a small readme file there, maybe try downloading it first.
